Maple Manufacturing Announces Operations in Jefferson County
Posted on June 19, 2025
Maple Manufacturing, in collaboration with JobsOhio and Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), today announced its location to Yorkville, Ohio, creating 35 new jobs.
Founded in 2017, Maple Manufacturing enhances metal for container producers by processing steel coils and cut sheets. The company provides steel shearing and coating services as well as quality lithography and warehousing.
“We were not planning to relocate, however, the move will provide us with opportunities for growth, given our new location and improved facilities,” Dave Maple, CEO, commented. We have a great group of long-time employees who have helped us be successful from day one, and we don’t see that changing in our new space.”
The company is relocating from the former Ball Manufacturing facility in Weirton, West Virginia, to the Yorkville Intermodal Terminal Spec Building.
“Maple Manufacturing’s decision to move its operations to a spec building in Jefferson County represents a crucial step in the company’s continued growth and will positively impact its operational efficiency,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “The company will bring 35 new jobs to its new Ohio headquarters, allowing it to better serve its clients in the food canning, paint, general line container, and jar lid industries.”
The newly-constructed 100,000 square-foot spec building is located on the Ohio River and was built with support from the JobsOhio Site Redevelopment Pilot Grant in 2019.
JobsOhio is supporting the company’s expansion with a $100,000 JobsOhio Grant, which promotes economic development, business expansion, and job creation by funding eligible projects. OhioSE helped the company through the process necessary to obtain assistance.
“We are excited to see Maple Manufacturing move into the spec building in Yorkville,” said Matt Abbott, President and CEO of OhioSE. “Their investment is a testament to the strong business climate and talented workforce that make Jefferson County a great place to grow.”
Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) is the JobsOhio Network Partner for southern, eastern, and southeastern Ohio, providing economic development work and resources in 25 rural counties. Geographically the largest of the seven regions across the state, OhioSE partners closely with regional development districts, local economic development offices, state agencies, and other entities to expand, retain, and attract businesses in the counties they serve.
