Anna Mary’s Fried Pies Expands in Vinton County
Posted on May 28, 2025
Anna Mary’s Fried Pies LLC, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and the Vinton County Commissioners Development Department, today announced an investment of $250,000 to build a new facility in Londonderry, Ohio, creating four new jobs.
Established in 2020, Anna Mary’s Fried Pies manufactures frozen pastries including fried pies, dumplings, and donuts. The company supplies restaurants and grocery stores in several states through contracts with local food distributors.
“The JobsOhio Small Business Grant is a wonderful program for start up business and is a great boost for the sincere entrepreneur,” said Allen Miller, Owner of Anna Mary’s Fried Pies. “Thanks to all of the OhioSE and JobsOhio team for their support.”
Specializing in fried pies, the company recently added apple dumplings and acquired an ice cream line. The new 2,000 square-foot facility will increase production space and allow the company to increase its wholesale manufacturing.
“Anna Mary’s expansion with support from OhioSE is a perfect example of economic development agencies working together to bring a project to fruition,” said Terri Fetherolf, Director of Vinton County Commissioners Development Department. “Vinton County is happy to support their expansion into wider markets. And, by the way, the fried pies are delicious!”
This investment is supported by a $25,000 JobsOhio Small Business Grant. The JobsOhio Small Business Grant provides grants to support the growth of small businesses that face unique challenges because they are either located in a qualifying zip code or are owned by an eligible population, which includes minorities, women, veterans, and people with disabilities. To qualify the company must have an eligible project and meet business size and industry requirements.
“Anna Mary’s Fried Pies is a prime example of how businesses can thrive and expand in Southeast Ohio,” said Matt Abbott, President and CEO of OhioSE. “The JobsOhio Small Business Grant was a tremendous tool to leverage additional investment that will fuel added capacity and growth for the company.”
Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) is the JobsOhio Network Partner for southern, eastern, and southeastern Ohio, providing economic development work and resources in 25 rural counties. Geographically the largest of the seven regions across the state, OhioSE partners closely with regional development districts, local economic development offices, state agencies, and other entities to expand, retain, and attract businesses in the counties they serve.
