Good Boy Bakery, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and the Coshocton County Port Authority, today announced its expansion in Coshocton, Ohio.

A specialty pet treat company, Good Boy Bakery was founded in Coshocton, Ohio by Brad and Cathy Fuller. Cathy, a U.S. military veteran, and Brad started the business by baking healthy, all-natural treats for their family's dogs, treats that quickly became a local favorite. Today, all products are handmade with simple, wholesome ingredients.

"Starting a small business is risky, but the support that we have received from the community of Coshocton has been overwhelming,” said Cathy Fuller. “Also, having a retail location in such a popular tourist destination, we have the best of both worlds by having local support in addition to all the dog-loving folks who visit Roscoe Village each year. And now with the generous support of JobsOhio, Ohio SE, and the Coshocton Port Authority, we are so excited to expand our wholesale production to other retail locations within Ohio."

The Fullers opened a retail space in Historic Roscoe Village in 2017 and began wholesaling their handmade treats to local small businesses in 2022. To capitalize on wholesale and online expansion opportunities, the company is establishing a new, larger kitchen dedicated to wholesale production.

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate the growth of Good Boy Bakery right here in Coshocton,” said Tiffany Swigert, Executive Director of the Coshocton County Port Authority. “Cathy Fuller’s passion and entrepreneurial spirit are a shining example of what is possible in our community. This expansion not only supports a thriving small business but also reinforces Coshocton’s role as a place where innovative ideas and local talent can flourish. We are grateful for the collaboration with JobsOhio and OhioSE to help bring this project to life and cannot wait to see what’s next for Good Boy Bakery.”

This investment is supported by a $40,000 JobsOhio Small Business Grant. The JobsOhio Small Business Grant offers financial assistance to eligible small businesses in Ohio looking to grow their operations. To qualify, the company must have an eligible project and meet business size and industry requirements.

“Good Boy Bakery is rapidly growing, and we are glad to have partnered with the company on its expansion,” said OhioSE President and CEO, Matt Abbott. “The JobsOhio Small Business Grant was a tremendous tool to leverage additional investment that will fuel new efficiencies and growth for the company.”
