Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) today announced Tania Meek as its new Marketing Assistant, effective Friday, March 6, 2026.
Meek is an experienced marketing professional with decades of experience in public relations and strategic marketing. A graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in Marketing, Meek has since held a variety of positions, such as Innkeeper and Public Relations Manager for the Bluff View Art District in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Travel and Tourism Coordinator for the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce in Cookeville, Tennessee, and Director of Development for the PRC in Athens, Ohio.
More recently, she has held the role of freelance travel writer as well as hospitality consultant for short-term rentals and small boutique inns. During her eighteen years’ residency in southeast Ohio, she has been involved with several local organizations and is also a graduate of Leadership Athens County.
"I am thrilled to join and work alongside the OhioSE team in the facilitating and sharing of the vibrant stories of life among the diverse businesses and communities of southern Ohio,” said Meek. “It is also an honor to bring my passion for design and storytelling as well as community partnership and development to the twenty-five counties and the great state of Ohio which we are blessed to call home.”
At OhioSE, Meek will work closely to assist Marketing & Communications Director Sarah Arnold and other team members with regional marketing initiatives, communications, and brand awareness.
Arnold said she is happy to have Meek onboard. “I’m so excited and grateful to have Tania join our team,” she said. “Marketing a 25-county region means there are always more stories to tell and opportunities to highlight the incredible things happening across Southeast Ohio. Tania’s skills and enthusiasm will expand our capacity and help us elevate the region’s voice as we continue sharing its strengths and successes.”
